David Vannucchi is a Financial Analyst for Irgens. David graduated from UW-Madison in the spring of 2023 with an Economics degree before pursuing his master’s in CRE, also from UW. While in grad school, David specialized in the AREIT program, spending the year with a live fund of publicly traded REITs, with a focus on the Industrial and Single-Family Housing sectors. As of last May, David has worked on the finance team at Irgens, contributing to financial forecasting, valuation, and reporting.
Q What do you enjoy the most about commercial real estate?
A) What I find most exciting about this industry is its dynamic nature. Not only from the perspective of the business itself, but also with regard to the professionals involved. I very much enjoy the jack-of-all-trades quality that is needed to succeed in CRE, and on a day-to-day basis, the great divergence in personalities that make up the different career paths within the industry.
Q) Where did you grow up?
A) La Crosse, Wisconsin
Q) What was cool when you were growing up but isn’t cool now?
A) Frosted tips. But I’m confident they’ll make a comeback. One can hope.
Q) What’s your favorite place to travel to?
A) I don’t have much travel experience, but I’ve been fortunate enough to have been to Italy twice. Although I’d love to see more of the world, I would most definitely plan another trip back to Italy, and more specifically, Assisi.
Q) Which projects are you involved in/most excited about?
A) The Analyst in me wants to say the Argus integration that we are currently working on, but the rest me wants to say several of the developments we currently have in the pipeline. I guess I’ll have to go with a double answer.
Q) What do you hope to get out of your NextGen Experience?
A) Over the course of the year, I hope to strengthen those reasons as to why I chose to work in CRE. Along with that, I hope there will be many lessons and/or opportunities to learn about topics I didn’t even know I had an interest in. More than anything, I’m looking forward to getting to know the rest of the cohort, creating relationships that will last for the rest of our careers.
