While we are all anxiously awaiting the first phase of the development, Midwest Environmental Advocates has filed a lawsuit to stop the Lake Michigan water diversion that is a necessity for the plant. The pending lawsuit may have a slowing effect on the project.
The Wisconsin Realtors Association (WRA) through its Legal Action Fund has provided immediate financial support and has retained the services of the top water law expert in Wisconsin to help defend this transformational development. The WRA Legal Action Fund is a Member Resource that can be leveraged to help promote economic development, and preserve and protect private property rights.
