2025 Legislative Wrap-Up: Advocacy in Action
According to the Wisconsin REALTORS® Association (WRA), the 2025 legislative session delivered meaningful progress for the state’s real estate industry, with a strong focus on increasing housing supply and improving development processes.
A comprehensive housing package introduced solutions to address the “missing middle,” including expanded loan programs, new tools to support workforce housing, incentives for condominium conversions, and policies allowing accessory dwelling units (ADUs). These efforts aim to increase housing availability while maintaining flexibility for local communities.
Additional updates improve efficiency for developers, reduce transaction costs, strengthen property owner protections, and enhance transparency in real estate practices.
