CARW Announces 2023 Deal of the Year Award Winners, Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame Inductees, and the 2023/24 Board of Directors
MILWAUKEE – The Commercial Association of REALTORS® Wisconsin (CARW), the voice of commercial real estate for Wisconsin, is pleased to announce the organization’s 2023/ Board of Directors and the 2023 commercial real estate Deals of the Year. The announcements were presented to an audience of 275 commercial real estate professionals in attendance at the Deal of the Year Awards and Annual Meeting event on October 25th 2023, at The Grain Exchange.
The prestigious CARW Deal of the Year recognition was awarded in five categories: Development, Industrial, Investment, Office and Retail. A complete list of nominees can be found by visiting www.carw.com.
“The commercial real estate landscape is certainly complicated,” said Tracy Johnson CARW CEO. “The depth and breadth of this year’s nominees showcase the impact that a skilled commercial real estate professional has on a deal – and in 2023 – there were a lot of them.” Deals eligible for the award closed between August 1, 2022, and July 31, 2023.
At the Annual Awards Event, CARW, through the CARW Foundation recognized one inductee into the CARW Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame. The Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame recognizes and honors those who contribute to the commercial real estate industry and to CARW. The CARW Foundation will give a scholarship in their name to a UW-Milwaukee which recently launched a commercial real estate certificate. The 2023 inductee is James Barry III, JD, CCIM.
Two other awards were given including 2023 CARW Affiliate of the Year, Crux Commercial; and 2023 Policy Advocate of the Year, Jeff Stone with Kapur.
