On Friday, April 15th, the 2021-22 legislative session came to an end. Quickly following that, on April 19th, Tom Larson, WRA Executive Vice President joined our members for a recap of the session. As published in the WRA’s April 27th Capitol Insights Newsletter, here are some quick facts about the fate of the WRA’s priorities this session:
- 267 bills were signed into law
- 14 of the bills signed into law were WRA legislative priorities
- Five of the WRA bills signed into law protected private property rights
- Four of the WRA bills signed into law removed hurdles to successful real estate transactions, three of which were on the WRA’s 2022 REALTOR® & Government Day agenda
- 126 bills were vetoed, two of which were WRA legislative priorities (shovel-ready workforce housing and filled lands)
