Legislative Priorities

Following a successful 2016, the Wisconsin Legislature is back in session with many new faces and new agendas.  The Commercial Association of REALTORS® 2017-18 legislative priorities includes:

  1. Making necessary infrastructure investments
  2. Preserving our environment and water resources
  3. Protecting private property rights
  4. Reducing frivolous lawsuits against REALTORS®
  5. Removing hurdles to successful real estate transactions

The REALTORS® accomplished many key items in the last session including:

  • $406M property tax cut
  • Income tax reform
  • Landlord/tenant regulations
  • TIF Decrement
  • Broker experience requirement
