Jeffers was able to obtain construction financing through Associated Bank based entirely off the anchor tenant. Jeffers then pitched the deal on the CrowdStreet.com online equity placement platform\, and raised $22 million dollars from 400 individual investors\, setting a national record and generating national attention to the Milwaukee office market. The Huron site was identified by the City of Milwaukee as a top ten “catalytic sites” referred to as the “Broadway Connection” in the City’s  Downtown Plan. The City sought to approve a  site that would overcome the divide of the I-794 highway and connect the Third Ward and Downtown Office Market. The new building will generate over $50 million in tax increment\, and was financed without tax incremental financing. The City\, in turn\, committed to funding a $3.8M dollar streetscaping project under the I-794 highway along Broadway and Clyborn Street. \n  \n
