About the CARW CRE Awards:

On October 19, CARW hosted more than 250 guests for the Deal of the Year Awards and Annual Meeting at the Grain Exchange in Milwaukee.  It was a celebration of the industry and the best of the best in commercial real estate in Wisconsin.

The Deal of the Year Awards recognizes the most notable commercial real estate professionals and transactions in Wisconsin.  The Awards Event was created to highlight accomplished CARW REALTOR members who have displayed exceptional achievement in sale and/or lease transactions.  A Winner was selected in the following categories: BANK LOAN, DEVELOPMENT, INDUSTRIAL, INVESTMENT, OFFICE, RETAIL and JUDGE’S CHOICE.

Heather Turner Loth, EUA
With over 20 years of experience, Heather Turner Loth’s dedication to collaboration and communication allows her to create a trust and camaraderie with not only her clients, but everyone she comes in contact with. Her expansive background includes experience in construction management, as well as Senior Manager of Pre-Development at Kohl’s Corporate. Currently, Heather is responsible for new business and relationship development, project leadership and strategy for the Workplace Environments studio at Eppstein Uhen Architects (EUA).

Friend of CARW:
Dale Shaver, Waukesha County
Dale serves as the Director of the Waukesha County Department of Parks and Land Use. As Director, Dale is responsible for a comprehensive range of county-wide services and functions in the areas of economic and community development, land information systems, restaurant licensing, land use planning and zoning, recycling and a county-wide park system. Dale serves as a cabinet level advisor to the County Executive. He has served on a number of volunteer and professional boards and committees including Vice President of the Waukesha County Center for Growth, the Waukesha-Ozaukee-Washington Workforce Development Committee, the Waukesha Rotary Club and the Paxton Andrews (childhood cancer) Foundation. Dale holds a Master’s Degree in Land Use and Environmental Planning from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Dale enjoys fitness, golf and soccer.

Commercial Real Estate Impact Award:
Mark Hogan, WEDC
Mark’s work experience includes almost four decades at M&I Marshall & Ilsley Bank and BMO Harris Bank. He retired in 2010 as M&I’s executive vice president and chief credit officer before signing on to serve as senior adviser to BMO Harris in 2011. Mark served in this role until being appointed by Governor Scott Walker to his current position in September 2015. A Green Bay native, Mark earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Notre Dame and received his MBA from Marquette University. Mark currently serves on the boards of the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA), the Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in Milwaukee, as well as the Archdiocese of Milwaukee Finance Council. He has also served on the boards of the Children’s Hospital and Health System, the Better Business Bureau of Wisconsin, Divine Savior Holy Angels High School, the Milwaukee County Historical Society, Marquette University High School and Mount Mary University, among others.

REALTOR® of the Year:
Jeff Hoffman, SIOR, CCIM, Cushman & Wakefield | Boerke
Jeff Hoffman specializes in developing and executing real estate strategies for occupiers and landlords of industrial real estate. Acquiring both the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) designations, Hoffman is an integral part of The Boerke Company’s Industrial Team and Principal leadership group. Hoffman has been in commercial real estate services since 2000, and joined the Cushman & Wakefield | Boerke firm in 2014 as a Partner where he and Chad Vande Zande co-chair the Industrial Services practice. His community leadership roles have included: Waukesha County Business Alliance Board Member & Policy Board Chair, Chair of the Commercial Association of REALTORS® (CARW), SIOR & CCIM Boards, President of the New Berlin Rotary Club, President of the Independent Business Association – Wisconsin, National Association of REALTORS® – Legislative Affairs Board, and a Junior Achievement volunteer.
