How Will Independents Affect the 2018 Election?

About 10 percent of Wisconsin voters fall into the "true independent" category, and these voters could decide the outcome in all three top-of-the-ticket races in 2018. Voters in this battleground state appear to be as polarized as they could possibly be going into the 2018 election. GOP Gov. Scott Walker led his re-election race 95 percent to 1 percent among Republican voters in a recent poll by Suffolk University. He trailed among Democrats 1 percent to 95 percent. Democratic U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin led her re-election race 97 percent to 0 percent among Democrats and trailed 1 percent to 96 percent among Republicans. ...Read more
