Downtown Milwaukee Storefronts to get a Facelift for Holidays – And You Can Take a Sneak Peek December 4

Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21 with support from CARW, proudly present a networking event in one of Downtown Milwaukee’s prominent storefronts. Located in the historic Iron Block Building, at the intersection of Wisconsin Avenue and Water Street, the retail space is positioned at one of downtown’s busiest intersections. The location is one of four featured storefronts, as part of Milwaukee Downtown’s Wish List MKE campaign (www.wishlistmke.com). Downtown Milwaukee will be spruced up this holiday season with window displays in storefronts in an effort called Wish List MKE.

The campaign is being done in conjunction with Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21 and Retailworks, Inc. in an effort to promote shopping locally this holiday season and to showcase the city’s available commercial lease spaces. The decorations can be found at five vacant window locations throughout Downtown, including:

  • Fyxation Bicycle Company, Germania Building, 135 W. Wells Street
  • Linda Marcus Design, The Iron Block Building, 205 E. Wisconsin Avenue
  • The Mini Classy, The Iron Block Building, 205 E. Wisconsin Avenue
  • Milwaukee Holiday Lights Festival Ornament Collection, 759 N. Water Street
  • Wander & Co., Colby Abbot Building, 579 N. Water Street

In addition, Milwaukee’s very own Billie the Brownie will be popping up at 12 existing storefronts across Downtown. If you spot Billie, take a picture and post it using #mkeholidaylights and you will be entered to win great prizes.
